Inspiring Women in Triathlon

Inspiration comes in many forms. Here at Trigirl, we are especially inspired by women in triathlon.

We’d like to share the inspiration ( and motivation!) with you- stories of women who have overcome obstacles- age, illness, injury- and still participate in triathlon, despite (or perhaps because of!) the challenges that life has brought. Here you’ll find:

  • Inspiring Women- Eddie Brocklesby– Eddie started running at age 53. She recently became the UK’s oldest Ironman finisher at age 70!
  • Inspiring Women- Jenny Hinshaw– Jenny became an Ironman triathlete just two years after completing treatment for Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and has raised an incredible amount of money for cancer research.
  • Inspiring Women- Corinne Abraham– Corinne is a professional triathlete (and former Trigirl ambassador!) who overcame a series of difficult injuries to become a top-ranked competitor.

Also check out articles from triathletes Katie , Helena, and Kristin Duffy about everything from learning to swim for triathlon and swimming a 10k swim!

Are you or is someone you know an Inspiring Woman? Tell us… We’d love to hear your story and share the inspiration!
